we can print one to your own taste and colour match desire or come up with a crazy design that no one else has....just try and challenge us!
A wrap is a covering of adhesive vinyl used for many years on commercial vehicles for branding and advertising that has now become fully widespread for all vehicles, kitchens, up-cycling doors cabinets, kitchens and all manner of items in between with Gloss, Satin, Matt, colours from every spectrum with metallics and texture to mimic concrete leather and marble.
We initially inspect your vehicle for blemishes, knocks, rust...basically any defects however minor, and test all of your lights, service indicators windows etc, to ensure that it is reported back to you prior to starting and to confirm consent if any of the car requires any additional works whilst it is up in the air for the duration of the works.
Once signed off with you, we send it through to prepare the bodywork....
We thoroughly clean the vehicle using pH neutral products specifically developed by our partner Wax is Dead® (all products available to purchase from us), that compliment and do not harm the paintwork or the wrap materials in anyway.
We initially Wax is Dead® Snowfoam the entire vehicle and leave to soak, that makes light work of road grime and dirt, while providing a lubricating surface during a contact wash, we use the Wax is Dead® Shampoo, jet wash the entire vehicle and then again use Wax is Dead® Snow Foam the entire vehicle again (Just to make sure its squeaky clean)
We spray Wax is Dead® Stink (a touchless Iron Fallout Remover for wheels and exterior surfaces), providing safe and effective removal of brake dust and iron particles. Stink’s Advanced, highly concentrated, pH-neutral formula is safe to use on ceramic-coated surfaces and most exterior surfaces, including paintwork, glass, plastic, and rubber and clay bar if required the entire surface ready for drying.
Next we touchless dry the vehicle using compressed and heated air to avoid streaks or swirl marks (plus it gets in all those hard to reach areas for a dry cured bodywork), we then start stripping down all the parts required to ensure we have a flat surface to wrap. Door handles, wing mirrors, bumpers and lights usually get taken off, labelled and separated for each vehicle.
Your wrap is then meticulously installed with utmost care and attention to detail, you are sent progress shots throughout the wrap (if you request, as some people like to have a surprise when the collect!) and at the end of each day, the manager will inspect and quality check the progress of each vehicle.
Typically, every build is unique due to the infinite options available, from powder coating the wheels and calipers, to tinting the windows , adding ceramic coatings and graphics can all take between 30 - 80 hours, with the average start to finish time for a basic wrap taking 40-45 hours minimum to achieve the results and standard we expect for the client.
Once the car is put back together and inspected for workmanship and heated to 100 degrees for the memory of the film and to bond to the vehicle. We then give the vehicle a Wax is Dead® Ceramic Coating to suit the wrap (this is included but would typically cost £299 upwards), we valet the vehicle inside and ensure everything that was working when handed over remains the same as when you dropped it off to us.
We also include in every wrap an after care kit to keep your vehicle in as near perfect condition as possible, another step above the norm as we think the extra mile should be the standard!!!
We ask that you come back within 6 weeks for an inspection of the wrap... (sometimes material fails or we have missed something and it needs fixing before it needs replacing), we then also treat your vehicle to a maintenance wash repeating steps 2 to 5 above with Wax is Dead® Snow Foam through to shampoo and a blow dry, we even through in a little magic with the Wax is Dead® ceramic foam treat (now that is a product must buy) it is like a little bit of car velvet heaven!
We can even offer this as a 3, 6 or 12 month wash plan starting at £150 per treat.
